Registration Information

THROTTLE TIME – July 25th

Throttle Time will allow guests to operate our historic locomotives for approximately ten minutes for a 1-mile run. All Throttle Time participants must be 18-years-of-age or older and have a valid driver's license, be in good physical health, and be able to climb a ladder without assistance. The exact location of Throttle Time on the Indiana Northeastern system will be confirmed the week of the event. Still, participants should otherwise plan to report to our station at 1469 West Main Street in Pleasant Lake, Indiana unless directed otherwise.

  • Purchase a raffle ticket to win a Throttle Time experience with Nickel Plate Road no. 358. Winners will be announced the week before. Subject to the same terms and conditions.

SOCIAL EVENTS – JULY 25th

  • Enjoy appetizers, a cash bar, and explore our historic train and vintage locomotives while on static display in Pleasant Lake, Indiana. Nickel Plate No. 358 and No. 765 will be available for tours and complimentary portraits.

HILLSDALE LIMITED – July 26th

Departing at 9:30 AM on July 26th, the Hillsdale Limited will feature both Nickel Plate Road steam locomotive No. 765 and Nickel Plate Road diesel locomotive No. 358 on an exclusive, members-only passenger train. The trip includes a layover for lunch at the Hillsdale Brewing Company, with lunch included in your ticket.

In addition to complimentary coach tickets for members, this excursion offers additional tickets at a significant discount, as well as never-before-offered cab ride tickets on both of our historic locomotives!

  • One first class ticket for the Silver Diner, a renovated 1950s dining car.

  • One first class ticket for Kitchi Gammi Club, our restored 1920s Pullman car.

  • One first class ticket for Norfolk & Western business car, No. 300. This private Pullman car features an observation platform, solarium lounge, and dining room. Capacity is capped at 10 passengers.

  • Good for one ride in the cab of 765, for approximately 45-minutes/1-hour, during the Hillsdale Limited.

  • Cab ride raffle ticket aboard the 358 during the Hillsdale Limited. Cab rider winner must be 12 years of age or older. Winner will receive a cab ride for approxiately 45-minutes/1 hour during the Hillsdale Limited. Winner will be announced during our Social Hour.

Member Information

This event is held exclusively for the pleasure of our members. You must be a currently registered member of the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society in 2025 to participate. Failure to register or renew your membership for the current year will result in a cancellation of any event registration and forfeiture of any fees.
